Mrs. McElroyJennifer joined CCS in 2017. She has a Master’s degree in Early Childhood and a BS in Elementary Education from UCO. Before coming to CCS, she taught for nine years at Quail Creek Elementary and was blessed to be a stay at home mom.
Mrs. McElroy has always loved the company of children. She delights in finding fun and exciting ways to engage her students and create a love for learning. Her favorite subjects to teach are history and reading to give her students a passion to become life long readers and thinkers. She loves being able to integrate God’s creation into curriculum and pray with her students. Mrs. McElroy has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 22 years. They have three children; Graeme, a CCS graduate who now attends UCO, Gavin (11th), and Caroline (10th), and 3 dogs, Norman, Molly and Gunther. The McElroys enjoy traveling to State and National Parks, exploring history, and playing board games. She also enjoys cooking, decorating, reading, and watching her kids participate in activities. One of her favorite Bible verses is Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Mrs. McElroy will be teaching Reading, Writing, Grammar, Wordly Wise and Social Studies. She will be switching with Mrs. Occhipinti. Mrs. OcchipintiMrs. Occhipinti began teaching at CCS in 2017. She has a B.A. in Journalism and Communication Studies from Texas Christian University. Mrs. Occhipinti was the first graduate of CCS! Before coming back to CCS in 2017, she taught fifth grade in Texas and also taught English in China.
Mrs. Occhipinti loves being able to teach in a Christian environment where biblical concepts are weaved into every lesson. Watching her students grow academically and spiritually throughout the year is one of her greatest joys. In her spare time she loves to travel, run and discover new coffee shops. She and her husband, Everett, welcomed their son, Noah Oliver, in September 2021. Mrs. Occhipinti’s favorite scripture is, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 Mrs. Occhipinti will be teaching Math, Bible and Science. She will be switching with Mrs. McElroy. |
Mrs. Bacon Mrs. Bacon grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma. She began teaching 4th grade at Crossings in 2008. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Before coming to Crossings, she taught for one year in Edmond.
Mrs. Bacon says that she believes in her students and that they can do anything they put their minds to. Her favorite subject to teach is Science because she loves the inquiry and experiments. Mrs. Bacon married her husband, Bryan, in June of 2019. She enjoys her blended family. He has two daughters, Katie and Bre. They welcomed their son, Asher, July of 2020 and their second son, Isaac, October of 2021. When not at school, she loves spending time with her family. They love going for walks, swimming, watching sports and movies or just relaxing. She also loves spending time with her nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bacon's favorite Scripture is “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 Mrs. Bacon will be teaching Math, Bible and Science. She will be switching with Mrs. Napoliello. Mrs. NapolielloMarsha was born and raised in Clinton, OK and attended Oklahoma State University where she earned a BS in Elementary Education. She will say she bleeds orange! Go Pokes! She has a Master’s degree in Reading and a Master’s degree in Administration, both from UCO. She previously taught in the Putnam City School District for 15 years before being blessed with becoming a stay at home mom to Nicholas and Isabella for 8 years. During her years in PC she taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades and directed a mentoring program for 3 years.
Mrs. Napoliello considers it a privilege for her children to attend Crossings and to get to work in such a Christ-centered environment. She has volunteered, substitute taught, or worked as an assistant here since her children began attending preschool. She loves teaching and being able to share the love of Christ with the open hearts of children. Marsha, her husband Jeff, Nicholas, Isabella and Gia (precious dog) love spending time as a family being outside, swimming, watching movies, traveling, cheering on OSU and Thunder and reading. One of her favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Mrs. Napoliello will be teaching Reading, Writing, Grammar, Wordly Wise and Social Studies. She will be switching with Mrs. Bacon. |
